Does our planet have intrinsic value? Just by existing should we consider it on a moral level? That's the big question isn't it? If we knew the answer then we wouldn't have this class. If a being with a higher conscious such as ourselves did not exist on this world to place value on everything and saying what's what would the plants and animals still be morally considered because they have value within themselves. But if beings of a higher conscious weren't there to give everything that label then would they be? It's a paradox and I don't like it. You would think after we took a semester of this class I would be more decisive in what I think but really I just talk in circles about it.
